• User Information: You may access the app as a guest using a nickname. No email or personal identification is currently required.
• Chat Messages: Messages sent through the app are stored on our servers to enable therapist communication.
• Booking Data: Information related to scheduled therapy sessions (e.g. time, therapist ID) is stored to manage appointments.
• Technical Data: Supabase may collect device/browser metadata as part of its infrastructure.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used only to:

• Facilitate real-time chat with assigned therapists
• Manage and confirm session bookings
• Improve app reliability and system performance

We do not use your data for marketing or advertising purposes.

3. User Consent

By using Nit, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. Where required by law, we will request explicit consent before collecting sensitive personal data.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on Supabase-managed servers, which use industry-standard security and encryption.

Chat content and session data are encrypted in transit. We restrict access to authorized staff and therapists.

5. Anonymous Use

You can use the app without revealing your real name, email, or identity. All chat and booking interactions are tied to anonymous guest accounts.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain chat and booking data to support ongoing therapy and continuity.

Currently, there is no automated way to delete this data within the app, but you may contact us at osnazzene@gmail.com to request deletion or modification of your data. We are committed to honoring such requests as required by applicable data protection laws.

7. Third-Party Services

We use Supabase as our backend service provider, which may collect technical data as part of its operation. We do not use any third-party advertising or analytics services that collect personal data.

8. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share your data with any third parties, except:

• If legally required (e.g. court order)
• To maintain system functionality (e.g. Supabase backend services)

No chat or booking data is shared with advertisers, external platforms, or analytics tools.

Nit is not designed for children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete it.

10. No Emergency Services

Nit is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or need urgent help, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline in your area.

11. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, if significant changes are made, notify users within the app or via email where possible.
